Team Building

Activities encouraging social interaction

Team Building is a collective term for various types of activities used to enhance social relations and define roles within teams, often involving collaborative tasks. It is distinct from team training, which is designed to improve the efficiency, rather than interpersonal relations.

Team Building The Praxium Academy Way

Being able to help others find their inner self and start creating an amazing change to their life can be both daunting and exciting, The Praxium Academy is introducing their Team Building Classes starting in 2017.

What I offfer

To put it in a nutshell; The Praxium Academy will help your team with the following:-

Spatial Awareness

Spatial contextual awareness consociates contextual information such as an individual's or sensor's location, activity, the time of day, and proximity to other people or objects and devices. It is also defined as the relationship between and synthesis of information garnered from the spatial environment, a cognitive agent, and a cartographic map. The spatial environment is the physical space in which the orientation or wayfinding task is to be conducted; the cognitive agent is the person or entity charged with completing a task; and the map is the representation of the environment which is used as a tool to complete the task.

An incomplete view of spatial contextual awareness would render it as simply a contributor to or an element of contextual awareness – that which specifies a point location on the earth. This narrow definition omits the individual cognitive and computational functions involved in a complex geographic system. Rather than defining the myriad of potential factors contributing to context, spatial contextual awareness defined in terms of cognitive processes permits a unique, user-centered perspective in which "conceptualizations imbue spatial structures with meaning.

Respect

We all want to be respected by our peers, but it takes a lot of work to earn it. If you want to be successful, happy, and healthy, learning to earn the respect of others should be an important goal and something you can work to achieve. By learning to give respect, act and think with confidence, and behave in a reliable way, you'll start earning the respect you deserve in no time.

Confidence

Confidence is a personal thing that isn’t the same for everyone. Different people have different levels of confidence, but there are some signs of a confident person which can give insight into where confidence comes from. Even if you’re not naturally confident, there are several ways you can build on your confidence over time.

Trust

Trust can be attributed to relationships between people. It can be demonstrated that humans have a natural disposition to trust and to judge trustworthiness that can be traced to the neurobiological structure and activity of a human brain. Some studies indicate that trust can be altered e.g. by the application of oxytocin.

Conceptually, trust is also attributable to relationships within and between social groups (history, families, friends, communities, organisations, companies, nations, etc.). It is a popular approach to frame the dynamics of inter-group and intra-group interactions in terms of trust.

When it comes to the relationship between people and technology, the attribution of trust is a matter of dispute. The intentional stance demonstrates that trust can be validly attributed to human relationships with complex technologies. However, rational reflection leads to the rejection of an ability to trust technological artefacts.

A Deeper Awareness of the Self

Self-awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals. It is not to be confused with consciousness in the sense of qualia. While consciousness is, a term given to being aware of one's environment and body and lifestyle, self-awareness is the recognition of that awareness.

People don’t check their emotions at the door when they come to work. Understanding the rational and irrational nature of humans (including your own) is part and parcel of being able to lead effectively.

Being self-aware can help you to become a more effective leader. Self-awareness involves knowing what is important to you, how you experience things, how you feel and how you come across to others. In managing workforce diversity, it means understanding your own culture, identity, biases and stereotypes. To become more self-aware, try to reflect on your own thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Try to generate positive inner thoughts and dialogue. Concentrate on the positive and you will appear more confident and credible to others.

Emotional Maturity

Emotional maturity is defined as how well you can respond to situations, control your emotions and behave in an adult manner when dealing with others.

Being able to have a rational conversation with your significant other when you disagree instead of throwing things and ranting and raving is an example of showing emotional maturity.

A Clear and Focused Mind

Being more focused means being able to pay attention to your plan and control the everyday distractions that life puts in your path. Of course, there will be times when unforeseen things happen but you will be more prepared and confident to deal with them. It would be foolish to suggest that no one experiences insecurities and doubts, 'feel' them and learn from them. Always be mindful of your strategy and follow it, but remain alert to the fact that it might not go according to your initial plan. That doesn't mean that you won't find a way to resolve it, but it is beneficial to have a contingency plan in place.

By encouraging an individual member of the team to openly communicate with their team mates, they will feel less likely to give negative discourse. A positive narrative will issue forth to encourage and create the flow that will bring in new ideas to the team. They will be willing to listen to their peers and have the confidence to relate under any circumstance they may find themselves in. Your place of business becomes a mindful space of positive feelings and healthy relationships, helping your team become more balanced individuals.

Ability to work more efficiently as part of a team

Working effectively in a team environment is crucial for many small businesses. It requires skills in effective communication, collaboration, time management, and business acumen. On a team, members share the ownership of meeting the defined objective. By establishing a responsibility matrix, you define who is responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed for each task you complete. Working with a diverse group of people, sometimes in different locations, presents many challenges. Learning to work together effectively in a team environment enables everyone involved to achieve their personal and professional goals.

A deeper appreciation of meditation and understanding the benefits it can help to create

So, one of the benefits of expressing appreciation is that it allows us to see others more fully. So, when we show appreciation to our meditation practice, we cultivate a healthier outlook of our surroundings. When we are prepared to really be mindful of another person, without self-blinding judgment, then we start to notice things about them that we were previously only dimly aware of.

If we all look at our own life experiences, there are times we underrate ourselves. Sometimes we push aside an awareness of our own positive qualities, and when someone rejoices in my merits, we are than forced to see ourselves in a more positive light. Then we can begin to value those positive qualities in ourselves and begin to nurture them. When we appreciate ourselves, it becomes natural for us to appreciate what we see in others.

Having your own positive qualities reflected at you can, paradoxically, be very painful. Sometimes we find it hard to accept that we are not worthless. It can be hard to be made aware of qualities that we then must live up to. So, notice times when you are resistant to the positive perceptions of others. Beware of false modesty and of shrugging off the compliments that others give us.
